Research on the Age of Hydrocarbon Accumulation and Filling History of Fluid Inclusions in Huanghekou Depression

Abstract：On the basis of introducing perspectives of sample preparation, testing instrument, microscopic identification features of fluid inclusions, homogenization temperature, and so on, this paper discussed how to determine the age of hydrocarbon accumulation and the filling period, and then determined three types of fluid inclusions in the Huanghekou depression, that is, low mature liquid hydrocarbon fluid inclusions, mature gas hydrocarbon fluid inclusions, high mature gas/liquid hydrocarbon and gas hydrocarbon fluid inclusions. According to the microscopic characteristics of fluid inclusions, homogenization temperature, thermal evolution history and burial history, the age of hydrocarbon accumulation and filling history in the Huanghekou depression were estimated to deepen the understanding of its oil-gas accumulation history. This study suggested that there were at least three stages of hydrocarbon charge for traps in the Huanghekou depression: in the first and second phases, the oil/gas was filled into traps during the period of the Minghuazheng sedimentary formation (10-5 Ma); in the third phase, the high mature oil and the associated gas began to filled reservoir during the Quaternary (less than 3 Ma). It is concluded that petroleum migration and accumulation for the Huanghekou depression could have been completed in a short time of only several million years. This study confirmed that the first phase of oil and gas came from the Bozhong depression in bz25 structure according to the homogenization temperature of fluid inclusions.
